Need and Upgrade Done?

Hi again

We are excited to announce that we have been traveling Australia and have been helping families all over get their loved Zafira's (and the occasional Astra Convertible) back on the road for low costs.

We have now completed over 200 rebuilds on zafiras and none of these are yet to report any further problems. With the genuine upgrade these cars will last.

If you own one of these cars and need the timing done im sure you have also found out the costs involved.

Here is what we can offer you

Full Timing Upgrade and Driving gear

We will install

NEW Upgrade timing chain kit (not a recalled or copy of recall kit)
NEW Balance Chain and Gear
NEW Water Pump (this job alone is a $1500 - $2000 job)
NEW Oil Jets
NEW Premium Spark Plugs (good for 250,000K)
FULL Major service (Premium oils and filters)
NEW Seals Where Requires (addition charges but cheap)

We will do all this for you for you for around $1000 parts included (you won't even be able to buy the parts for that )

If your Zafira has already surcomed to the timing chain issue we can help you there also and you wont be shocked with bills of $4500 - $8000 (a lot of the time it will be under $2000 depending on the damage)

If you are looking for a FULL rebuild of your engine including piston upgrades to eliminate oil burn FOREVER give us a call we can help there also

  2. Hi Nigel,
We are a 2 Zippy Zafira Family. Both have issues but my daughter's auto is the worst. I pulled the engine out due to chain jumping and all but 2 valves touched piston.Bought a second hand engine that shortly after install had the bottom end knock and seized up on the way back from the test drive.....
So I need parts and advice on how to proceed. Does another used engine make sense or is it best to try to make one good engine out of both dodgy ones I have?
Keep up the good work. Thanks and best regards from Melbourne.

    1. Once you spin a bearing on the bottom end the crank will be damaged. Its usually a lot cheaper to start again with a second hand engine and upgrade it

  6. Hi Nigel,
I have a Zafira with about 160,000 km. The timing chain jumped, and all 16 valves are bent, but the pistons are only lightly marked, and seem okay otherwise.
So, I'm looking at replacing valves & guides, timing & balance chains, sprockets, guides, tensioners etc, and the oil jet of course. Will check if head needs planing too. Would you recommend replacing water and/or oil pumps at the same time? Also anything else on the engine I should check?
    Many thanks, Bruce (Motueka, NZ)

  8. Hi Nigel, What are your thoughts about a 2001 auto Astra with 125,000km. Sometimes it drives fine. Sometimes the engine stops in the while I'm driving and I have to pull over and get a tow. then the ECU pumps out all different kinds of codes. I've heard this is due to insufficient memory in the ECU. Thoughts? Is this worth fixing? Thanks Claire

  9. Hi Nigel,
our 2003 zafira equipe has been a great car. However, in the last few months the engine/spanner light has come on intermittently and the car goes into limp mode, which a mechanic diagnosed as code P0705 Transmission Range Sensor malfunction. Possibly a dirty sensor? Is that something you can repair, or do I just go to a transmission specialist?
    thanks,
    Steve.

  10. Hi Nigel. The water pump failed on my 2004, 2.2L Zafira.I cannot get the pump out due to inaccessible bolts. Please advise if this job can be done with the engine still in the car & without removing the exhaust manifolds. look forward to your response.
